I have bought (or been offered) a box/card/share; how can I pay 1€ and become a shareholder?
The purchasing process of the shares you bought during the two crowdfunding campaigns will be opened from august 14th to october 31st, on the website of Dartagnans Investment.

Can I visit the castle?
Yes. Non co-shareholders have to book tickets online on https://www.dartngo.fr. No tickets are sold at the Castle.

Guided visits are free for this opening season for co-shareholders. Co-shareholders do not have to make reservations to visit the park of the castle.
I’m a shareholder, can I freely enter the grounds?
Holding shares does not allow one to enter the grounds unchecked and unannounced, for safety and governance reasons

Shareholders, events, visits and volunteer works will be organized to help you discover your castle in a unique and safe way. Webcams will also be placed in the castle to give you a live view of the works’ progress.
Can I still donate and receive a boxed share?
Unfortunately not.

The crowdfuding campaign ended on December, 25th 2017.
What is the website’s goal?
This website is meant to showcase the restoration project’s progress.

It regularly features new information about the castle itself, events organized within the grounds, tickets, merchandising, and more.

It is the only official source of information and cooperation for the shareholders regarding the castle’s governance.
How is the castle company organized?
The SAS will have a large number of shareholders, so it will be necessary to organize governance and decision-making efficiently.

Annual General Meeting : Once a year, as is the norm for any limited company, an Annual General Meeting will take place. Reports on finances and progress on projects will be presented to the shareholders and votes take place to enact commitments and/or elect board members.

The right to vote : One share = one vote. The SAS du Château de la Mothe Chandeniers will make a point of honor to operate in a democratic and transparent way.

Board of Directors : Tasked with managing the company, ensuring steady progress on the restoration process and overseeing promotional activities, directors will be recognized authorities in their field. A maximum of 12 board members will be collectively choose by the associate.

Steering Committee : Comprised of elected officials and heritage experts, this advisory committee is responsible for the long-term planning of the project.
How can I be of help? Can I be elected as member of the board?
If you wish to be considered for the upcoming election, please send us an email at talent@mothe-chandeniers.com

This website is also meant to foster discussion among shareholders and allow them to suggest ideas and organize workgroups on specific aspects of the project.
How will the restoration project be sustainably funded?
Ensuring the monument is restored is our #1 priority. To fund this costly endeavor, we have identified several funding streams, among which:

Property management : Alongside visitor revenues, we are considering renting the premises for selected events (thereby improving the place’s visibility and marketability) and opening a BnB and other welcoming spaces to cater to guests looking for a unique experience.

Sponsoring : The project’s visibility is attractive to organizations, commercial or otherwise. Such organizations may help the project’s finances in different ways, by offering free/discounted materials, volunteer work, or of course direct funding.

Donations : As the restoration project progresses, focused donation campaigns will be organized; the chateau’s shareholders can do wonders to make those as successful as possible.
I’m a local restaurateur/host/winemaker/etc. Can we strike a partnership?
We welcome input and partnership offers from owners looking to further develop their local businesses.
